Update 1: Did you know that the first 2 setup days for school are to be scheduled between 8:30 – 2:30 pm? The second day is for classroom setup only. Teachers are not required to attend any meetings on the second day.
Article 5 Section B states “The work year for teachers will include days when pupils are in attendance and two (2) days at the beginning of the school year. The first orientation day is designated for system-wide and school-based administrative purposes as determined by the superintendent and principals. The second day of the work year is designated exclusively for teachers to prepare their classrooms for the opening day of school. These days will be scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Any change in these schedules shall be subject to agreement between the administration and the STA. “
